- Increased filling hole size by over 450%: This makes fueling quicker and more efficient without compromising the stove's ability to pressurize and maintain a consistent burn. This design improvement borrows from the successful features of our Decagon and Converter Stoves.
- Added an indented bottom: This allows for safe and stable use of fuel tabs and gels as alternative fuel sources. This new feature eliminates the need for makeshift solutions and ensures a secure cooking experience, even on uneven terrain.
Despite these enhancements, the Triad Stove maintains its lightweight design, weighing in at just one ounce. Our goal with these updates is to increase the stove's versatility and ease of use, helping you lighten your load and simplify your adventures without compromise.
How to Use the Triad Stove
Here's a step-by-step guide on how to use this versatile stove:
- Setting Up the Stove:
- Unfold the stove's legs and place it on a stable, flat surface.
- Ensure the legs are fully extended and securely anchored into the ground for stability.
- Fueling the Stove:
- For alcohol fuel: Open the stove's lid and pour 1.5oz (44ml) of alcohol fuel (ethyl, methyl, or denatured only) into the center well. Always fill up to capacity before lighting.
- For fuel tabs or gels: Flip the stove upside down, so the indented bottom is facing up. Place your fuel tab or gel in the indentation.
- Lighting the Stove:
- Use a lighter or match to ignite the fuel in the center well. Allow a few seconds for the stove to prime and the flames to spread evenly.
- Use a windscreen for the best results.
- Cooking:
- Place your pot or pan on top of the stove. The three legs provide a stable platform for cooking.
- Adjust the amount of fuel as needed to control the heat intensity. For alcohol fuel, you can use the lid to snuff out the flame and conserve any remaining fuel.
- Cooling Down and Packing Up:
- Once you're done cooking, allow the stove to cool down completely before handling.
- Ensure that the flame is fully extinguished and the stove is cool to the touch before refueling or packing away.
- Fold the legs back into the stored position and secure the lid for compact storage.
