Not an every day carry wallet

The cash section is too small for more than a few bills. If you start with a couple tens and get change consisting of a few ones and a five there’s no room. To access a credit card or ID you have to pull all the cards out. This wallet is good to carry a few items on a bicycle ride or a camping trip. What do you do when the elastic hinge wears out?

From Brian Vargo - For Christmas, my wife purchased a minimalist wallet for me as a present. I liked the small compact features of the wallet but I wanted to have more compartments in order to separate my cash from credit cards. Also, I found it difficult to remove my cards from the wallet. Several of my first designs were of my own original creation but when I searched the internet to see if anything similar exists, I had to trash the first two or three ideas. Finally, when I conceived of the “hinged” bottom as a way to add pockets I had hoped nothing similar already existed. Fortunately, it did not, and the Hinge wallet was born. I was extremely happy about this since my final design is the one that I liked the most.

You can use the Hinge Wallet however you want but the original concept is to have both a credit card holder and a separate compartment to hold cash.

When using the bottle opener be sure to only grab the sides of the titanium plate. You will notice that the area toward the top on both sides of the plate is slightly wider than the bottom. This extra wide area is designed to allow you to grab the plate from the sides so it will expand without touching the leather portion or your credit cards. Holding the opener from the top of the plate will prevent the bottle cap opener from expanding and you won’t be able to open your beer.
