Question:

What is the reason for these stakes being perforated? Is that simply to save weight or does it have a purpose compared to regular V shaped stakes?

Answer:
  • Yes, the perforations are there mainly to save weight.

Question:

What are the dimensions of the sides of the triangle? I'm wondering if I can fit these through a loop about the size of my little finger. Or do you tie these to a guyline? I have a bivy, so the loops are immediately on the ground. Thanks!

Answer:
  • The sides of the Ascents are 9mm/0.4" each and the width of the Ascent is 13mm/0.5". These would work better used in conjunction with a guy line. For use with your bivy sack, our shepherd's hook stakes would work the best.
