Great Fire & RV / Camper space saver

I had been holding off buying a Solo or similar fire pit due to the size it would take up in the RV storage bay. The Megahex was the a-ha moment to that issue. It sets up easily, lights readily, burns great, can quickly disassemble for storage. Whether for camping or for use @ home, it's a great smokeless firepit solution!

Wonderful Solution

Great firepit. I love being able to pack my own firepit for my adventures without sacrificing too much packing space. the fold flat features allow me to store the Megahex just about anywhere in my Jeep. The assembly is super simple. Starting a fire with it is easy peasy, and the gasifier features really do a great job at knocking down the smoke while still providing enough heat to keep those gathered around it warm. The next morning all the wood fuel was completely burned and clean-up was just as easy as dumping the ashes and then packing up the firepit. I will say there was some minimal warping of the top cap but not enough to affect function. I was surprised by the weight the 25lbs. is a bit of a chunk to lug but the shape doesn't make that weight awkward at all. I can easily see this on each and every road trip and Overlanding trip I'm on.

Instructions:

Remove the entire Fire Pit from nylon carry case.
Place the BASE PLATE on top of the ASHTRAY.
Expand the Outer Panel and carefully sit it upright onto the inside perimeter of the Ash Tray
Place the Inner Panel onto the Base Plate so that the tabs insert into the slots.
Lastly, place the Top Cap on the top of the Outer Panels and enjoy!

Yes, they do work. When lighting a fire it will smoke as usual in the beginning. As the fire heats up, the wood gasification process will begin. Essentially what happens is air flows into the exterior bottom intake holes and heats as it rises in the enclosed chamber. This creates a cyclical effect that burns off the majority of smoke created from the fire.

Having a fire pit outdoors is a fun and enjoyable experience except when the wind blows in your direction and smoke burns your eyes. Fortunately, a smokeless fire pit eliminates the majority of smoke created from burning wood. No more smoke in your eyes!
