Wanted for backpacking. I've gone lightweight as I've got older and every lightweight bit of kit helps. I also love titanium, it's my favourite metal, so when I saw this I could not resist. Great quality as you'd expect for the price but it will last forever, so it's kind of justifiable.

I found Vargo at trail days in Damascus this year. I really like how light the KATI WC-1 is because i am a light weight backpacker. I was looking for a fixed blade knife to split up to 1 1/2" in diameter timber on trail to make kindling for a fire on a wet day. That's exactly what the KATI WC-1 can do. I tried to abuse this knife by beating it with a wood baton to split 8-10" in length and 1"-1 1/2" in diameter of wood. I must say it held up very well to the torture test i put it through. It comes with a nice sheath that works well as a neck knife as it has holes. I used a piece of zpack dyneema rope to make a necklace so with the sheath it weighs less than 3oz. That is insanely light. So in conclusion I give the KATI WC-1 an A+ rating and highly recommend to anyone who wants a high quality light weight neck that holds a razor sharp edge even with a lot of abuse
