Okay, so I got this not because I plan to use it to drink from. On a five night stint, I this gem holds enough Everclear to boil water for my crew. Could make it a little taller.

I love the titanium flask. It’s very sleek, but incredibly light.

Ordered the flask for my husband for Christmas, it was an instant hit. The built in funnel is awesome, makes filling a breeze. Lightweight and attractive.

Packs lite yet indestructible and safely stores one of my most valued luxury items. Added benefit that titanium does not impart or change the flavor or a good bourbon or scotch is a huge plus for those of us who enjoy a single malt single batch. Only drawback is it is a little small but that may be MY problem:grin:

Just what we were looking for to celebrate my son's wedding day.

I ordered 6 of these as gifts for my wedding party and i/we couldn't be happier. Thanks for another great product.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)

Cleaning a titanium flask is a straightforward process, and titanium's corrosion-resistant properties make it relatively easy to maintain. Here's a general guide on how to clean our flask:

Materials you may need:

  1. Mild dish soap or a specialized flask cleaning solution
  2. Warm water
  3. Soft brush or sponge
  4. Bottle brush or pipe cleaner (for the neck of the flask)
  5. Soft cloth or microfiber towel
  6. Optional: Baking soda for stubborn stains or odors

Cleaning Steps:

  1. Empty the Flask:
Ensure the flask is empty and pour out any remaining liquid.
  2. Remove the Silicone Funnel:
Completely remove the funnel so you can properly clean any alcohol that may have seeped in between the funnel and flask.
  3. Rinse with Warm Water:
Rinse the interior and exterior of the flask with warm water to remove any loose residue. Do the same with the silicone funnel.
  4. Prepare a Cleaning Solution:
Mix a solution of mild dish soap and warm water.
  5. Clean the Interior:
Use a soft brush or sponge to clean the interior of the flask. If the neck is narrow, you can use a bottle brush or pipe cleaner to reach difficult areas.
  6. Clean the Exterior:
Wipe down the exterior of the flask with the soapy water solution. If there are any stubborn stains or residues, you can create a paste with baking soda and water and gently scrub the affected areas.
  7. Rinse Thoroughly:
Rinse the flask thoroughly with warm water to remove any soap or cleaning solution residue.
  8. Dry Completely:
Allow the flask to air dry completely with the cap removed. You can also use a soft cloth or microfiber towel to dry the exterior.
  9. Optional: Odor Removal
If your flask has developed an odor, you can try filling it with a mixture of water and baking soda, letting it sit for a few hours, and then thoroughly rinsing and drying.

Additional Tips:

  • Avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals that could damage the titanium or alter its appearance.
  • Regular cleaning after each use will help prevent the buildup of residues and maintain the flask in good condition.

In 2013, a friend came to my house for a party, and he brought a flask but forgot the alcohol.  I offered some of mine, but he forgot the funnel as well that came with his flask.

At the time he said to me, “You know, you should design a flask with an
integrated funnel for people like me that forget theirs.”  I thought it was a great idea but had to think of a way to do this.  I developed an idea in my mind, but the challenge was that it was impossible to test my theory that silicone could fold in on itself and form a proper funnel without spending several thousands of dollars on a mold that quite possibly, in the end, might not work.  I decided to take
the chance and fortunately the design worked!

Titanium is generally considered a safe material for use in food and beverage containers. It is a non-toxic, corrosion-resistant metal that does not react with acidic or alkaline substances. Titanium is commonly used in medical implants and cookware, and it is known for its durability and biocompatibility.

The Vargo Titanium Flask is specifically designed for holding liquids, so it is safe for storing water and other beverages. Additionally, our flask is free from any coatings or finishes that may not be food-safe.

Yes, titanium is an excellent material for a flask. Titanium flasks are popular for several reasons:

  1. Durability: Titanium is known for its exceptional strength and durability. It can withstand rough handling, resist corrosion, and maintain its structural integrity over time.
  2. Lightweight: Despite its strength, titanium is lightweight compared to some other metals like stainless steel. This makes titanium flasks convenient for carrying without adding unnecessary weight.
  3. Corrosion Resistance: Titanium is highly corrosion-resistant, which means it won't rust or corrode, even when exposed to liquids. This is particularly important for flasks that are intended for holding beverages.
  4. Biocompatibility: Titanium is biocompatible, meaning it is generally safe for contact with the human body. This property is why titanium is widely used in medical implants.
  5. Aesthetic Appeal: Titanium has a sleek and modern appearance, which many people find attractive. It is often used in high-end and premium products.

While titanium flasks may be more expensive than flasks made from other materials, the benefits of durability, lightweight design, and corrosion resistance can make our flask a worthwhile investment for those who appreciate these qualities.

The length of time that alcohol can stay in a titanium flask without any significant effects on the alcohol or the flask itself depends on various factors, including the type of alcohol, the alcohol concentration, and environmental conditions. Generally, titanium is a non-reactive and corrosion-resistant material, making it suitable for storing a wide range of liquids, including alcoholic beverages.

Here are some considerations:

  1. Alcohol Type: Different types of alcohol may have varying effects on the flask. For example, high-proof spirits may be more aggressive than lower-proof beverages.
  2. Alcohol Concentration: The alcohol concentration can affect the interaction with the flask material. Higher alcohol concentrations may have more pronounced effects over time.
  3. Temperature: Extreme temperatures can potentially impact the quality of both the alcohol and the flask. Storing the flask in a cool, dark place is generally advisable.
  4. Duration: While titanium is resistant to corrosion, long-term storage of alcohol in a flask may still lead to subtle changes in flavor due to interactions with the container. However, for short to moderate durations, the impact is likely to be minimal.

It's important to note that alcohol itself is a preservative, and high-proof spirits are less likely to spoil or degrade compared to lower-proof beverages. If you plan to store alcohol in a flask for an extended period, the VARGO flask features a tight-sealing cap to minimize evaporation.
