Just Add Fuel

The Ultimate Fire Starter™ provides everything you need to start a roaring fire except the fuel. Simply unscrew the ferrocerium rod from the bellows and use the integrated scraper to ignite any tinder. Then, extend the bellows and gently blow to nurture that spark into a flame. Or use it anytime to help increase the heat of your fire. Great for getting stubborn or wet fuel to burn, too!

No fire without it

Just so nice to maintain a flame until it burns brightly and not have to get right into the smoke.

Ferro rod is too short

Another inch or two in length wouldn't hurt. Surprisingly dificult to strike a spark.

Great quality material and awesome idea for a bellows , Flint and steel in one compact package.

It works but is heavy and bulky

This is a lightweight package of fire starting tools in a really small package. I've used all the same components as separate tools but never in one package of as good or better quality.

Brilliant idea to have "bellows" tube, striker, and firesteel as one piece. I always lose or forget the tube when it's a separate piece.

Its ingenious. The telescoping bellows focuses the oxygen where you need it and accelerates ignition without having to crawl like a snake and put your face into the smoke. Love it

1) Handle of the ferro rod is too short. It makes your hand tired to start fire for a long time; and 2) ferro rod does not produce much spark.

very good idea but unnecessary bulky & heavy

Additional Info

Fire needs three things to exist: fuel, heat, and oxygen. Most fire starters only provide enough heat to ignite tinder and nothing else. The Ultimate Fire Starter™ will help you ignite any tinder source AND stoke that fire into a full on blaze, even with wet wood.

To use, simply unscrew the ferrocerium rod from the bellows and use the attached striker to create 5,000°F sparks to light your tinder. Then, extend the bellows, aim it at the base of the fire, and blow smoothly to add more oxygen and exponetially increase the fire's heat. Increasing the heat allows you to get a fire growing faster, even with wet or stubborn fuel. Or use it at anytime to get forge level heat from your fire. Now wet wood is no longer an excuse or obstacle to having a hot blaze at your campsite.

Features

  • Sturdy stainless steel construction for rugged use
  • Extendable bellows keep you safely from the fire while pinpointing airflow for faster results
  • Integrated ferrocerium rod is good for 1000s of strikes and produces 5,000°F (2,760°C) sparks to ignite most tinders
  • Attached ferrocerium striker helps direct sparks onto tinder
  • Convenient carrying clip for easy access wherever you store it

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)

From Brian Vargo - In order to make a fire, two things are required, a spark and air.  Other systems provided one or the other but not both.  I decided to design a product that would provide both, be fun to use, and simplify the fire building process.
