Better, all ways.

I have the Bot HD with batwing handles. Recently acquired the Bot XL.
The XL is, hands down, the better of the two, IMO. Slightly larger capacity, larger diameter and shorter. The bottom corner is round instead of being an acute right angle like the HD. Easier to mix and stir foods. Retains the batwing handles for holding options. Shorter and wider stature makes it more stable when on your heat source. Retains the oring sealed lid for retention of liquids. Being shorter and wider makes it easier to eat out of and to clean.
It's the bomb!

The Price is an insolence

I´m sorry, for 100,00 € or $ for a thin pot with screwable lid everything has to be perfect about this product and even if it would be 100 bucks is way too expensive.

But it isn´t perfect, because the lid has a lid fold. Why the hack is it folded? As the man in the following video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hS28WXMaNVQ ,

is stating, the lid cleat is folded and by that the fold will collect dirt from foods or beverages and it will become a harbour for mikroorganisms and zoogloeal film, because it´s difficult to clean.
If I am on a longer trip and I want to transport some juice or food, it will become contaminated by this biofilm (zoogloeal film).

A price of 50,00 € would still be high priced, not only for my taste, but that are also the words of this guy here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zA_ALVRqDl0&t=348s .

60,00 €, because of the economical situation in the western world, would also be okay for this time period, but not 100,00 € or more!!!!

So my rating would be:
5 Stars minus 1 Star (because of the failed lid fold) minus 2 Stars (because of the price) makes = 2 Stars.

Bot U Bet

The Bot XL is amazing, screw top lid is liquid tight so I can store extra water or overnight soak outs or keep the morning brew all day long. This bot-pot is the perfect match for the Triad stove. A full 900 ml of water boils in 9 minutes with a wind screen in place. Thanks folks at Vargo, super happy with this set-up so simple and no canisters!

Same great quality, lower profile

Was not disappointed! Best idea in backpacking weight cookware in a long time. Filter water, carry to campsite for extra water or dont filter, boil & use! Dual use is major when trying to save weight. If where water is fairly available, no need for bladders or other storage, just the Vargo Bot & a couple of Smart Water type bottles.
